The Rev’d Gary K. Sturni - Priest in Charge

St. Andrew’s part time Priest in Charge is Father Gary Sturni, in his fiftieth year of ministry, having served churches in California, Ohio, Philadelphia and Tennessee before moving to Pomfret, CT. For nine years he was a vice president of St. Francis Academy, a church agency providing mental health services to adolescents and families around the country. He holds graduate degrees from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific, the Graduate Theological Union and San Anselmo Theological Seminary in the San Francisco Bay Area. Father Sturni has served as the Administrator of a retirement community in the northeast of Connecticut and serves as a board member of the Pomfret Library and Seely Brown Retirement Community in Pomfret. He and his wife Cindy have ten grandchildren and three grown children.
