Liturgy and Community Life Advisers
These advisers help us ensure an authentic Anglo-Catholic experience and continuation of our Anglo-Catholic origins.
Reverend Carlos De La Torre
Ordained to the priesthood at St. Andrew’s, he continues to provide spiritual guidance and advice on contemporary living consistent with the Oxford Movement. He is presently the rector at St. John’s in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. Prior to his rectorship he was the Executive director of Saint Hilda’s House and Curate at Christ Church, New Haven.
Reverend Nicholas Lang
Reverend Lang refreshed our Solemn Mass. This is the Sung Mass on Sunday’s that is our principal worship service. Inspired by the work of Reverend Bill Tully, Lang instituted the radical welcome at St. Paul’s on the Green, Norwalk, CT where he retired as rector. Today he is priest at St. Andrew’s, Milford, the Parish in which he was received as an Episcopal Priest in January, 1993 having served the Ukrainian Orthodox Church for twenty years. In addition to his seminary education, Nicholas has Masters and Doctorate degrees in Counseling.
Reverend Peter Powell
Reverend Powell serves at St. Mary the Virgin in NY and Christ the Holy Trinity in CT. In addition he teaches bible study. St. Andrew’s seeks him out regularly to celebrate Sunday Worship. He was Adjunct Professor of Biblical Languages at Virginia Seminary from 1980-1984 and Instructor of Hebrew and Teaching Fellow at Princeton Seminary in the late 70s. For 22 years until his retirement in 2010 Father Powell was the President/CEO of Homes with Hope, a Supportive Housing and Emergency Services provider in Westport, CT.
Reverend Ann Broomell
Reverend Broomell has over twenty years of experience in ministry, serving dioceses around the country, most recently as the Interim Rector of Christ Church in New Haven, CT. She brings great insight to St. Andrew’s as the parish reflects upon its Anglo Catholic legacy. Prior to her focus in transition ministry, she served as the Priest-In-Charge at St. Paul's Episcopal in Bedford, MA, and as Rector of Church of St Asaph in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
